Nigeria
The heart of the black continent called Africa
Where there’s diversity in culture yet people live in uniformity
A place where there is plenty but people dine in scarcity
Where the national budget is being run on deficit
Bloodshed here and there
No peace everywhere
Unknown gun men, Bandits, Kidnappers, Killer herdsmen

This is a bad reality, oh God Almighty,
Save us from this calamity
Asa sang it, “There is fire on the mountain” but no one believed it
Chinua Achebe wrote it, “Things fall apart” but no one took heed
Eedris Abdulkareem sang it, “Nigeria jagajaga” but no one listened
What a pity,
Where do we go from here?
